Steve Linford, The Spamhaus Project (SBL, RBL, ROKSO), London/UK: "dDoS attacks on Spamhaus continued for much of July and August 2003 with ever-increasing intensity. In September, expecting more attacks, Spamhaus moved its web servers behind an anti-dDoS device known as iSecure supplied by Melior CyberWarfare Defence. So far, iSecure has kept the dDoS attacks at bay." Gary Doan, Dallas TelCo Federal Credit Union, Dallas/Texas/USA: "We started deploying Melior's CyberWarfare pilots early at the bank. The defense against Penetration Testing allows us to decrease the expenses for regular security surveys and actually provides us with better security, and the drastic reduction in 'junk' traffic lowered the load on our firewall by 50%. The reduction in the drain of IT resources turned out to be a welcome side effect in log reviews, re-building desktop systems, and providing uptime." Bob Minor, CyberMill (ISP), St. Louis: "CyberMill deployed the very first Melior CyberWarfare Defense pilot product in July 2003, when we experienced extensive dDoS attacks on one of our very popular web sites, which affected our entire infrastructure. After trying out all other available solutions in the market first, I finally approached Melior. Even though their solution at the time was very early-stage and a pilot, it has helped us to defeat the dDoS attacks. Since, we have gone through several replacements, as Melior released updated versions, and I am pleased to see the final product is now done." Michael Latimer, MCI (ISP), April 2005: After completing a six-week, extensive product evaluation of the Barbican RNP Product at the MCI laboratory in Montreal, Canada: "A big Thanks for the glimpse into the future (of network security and CyberWarfare Defense against Penetration Testing and Denial-of-Service attacks). It was fun!" |
